Light Infantry Company
A Progressive Campaigner Reenacting Group from Upstate NY
60th Royal American Reg't.
STN Historical Website's
We are Upstate New Yorkers, men, women and children ages months to 40 yrs. We are seasoned veterans of living history looking for something a little different within the hobby. We trek, garrison and encamp upon the same paths and ground as the 60th historically. Emphasis is made to provision ourselves, equip ourselves, and encamp ourselves as a campaign unit. We carry all that we need to survive upon our backs, in and out of encampents, tacticals and reenactments to ensure we are true to our passion. Our goal is an accurate recreation of this famous and gallant unit. If we choose the higher ground, or the rocky, swampy, or snowy path so be it. We draw strengths from the individuals of the unit through adversity bringing out the best an individual has to offer. As "Lights" be expected to stand piquet, man advanced camps, create fortifications using period tools, act as skirmishers or scout, take hold difficult objectives via any path, partake in competitive live shoots, and rest about an evening fire immersing yourself in the time period with spirited talk and song
